The membrane wall is shown in its non-flood
closed position. The top of the wall could form a footpath.
|
Floodwater has entered the trough by way of
the gully, where the buoyancy of the wall causes it to rise,
unfolding the membrane and creating a flood barrier.
|
The wall is now at its maximum height of 2
metres exposing the coloured bands on the protected area indicating
the level of flooding.
